On Bank of Russia Methodological Recommendations on standardising approaches to collecting data by credit institutions

7 December 2017
Press release

As part of efforts to implement data management system and develop a unified banking data model, the Bank of Russia has revised the methodological recommendations on standardising approaches to collecting initial data by credit institutions to compile reports and other information to be submitted to the Bank of Russia.

The new version of the document supplements the initial data model with the characteristics of credit institutions’ customers and their counterparties, and also their settlements. The recommended approaches shall be applied to data management in order to standardise requirements for the collection and submission to the Bank of Russia of accounting, operational and other information, including in response to Bank of Russia current inquiries.

Methodological Recommendations No. 31-MR, dated 28.11.2017, on standardising approaches to collecting initial data by credit institutions to compile various reports to be submitted to the Bank of Russia, are published on the Bank of Russia website in the Statistics / Optimisation of Reporting / Methodological Recommendations section. The publication of this document invalidates Methodological Recommendations No. 48-MR, dated 26 December 2016, for collecting initial data by credit institutions to compile reporting forms on deposit operations.
