The limit on intraday and overnight loans on a credit institution is distributed between the accounts to which it receives these loans. At the same time, this limit does not necessarily must be completely distributed between the accounts. The maximum possible limit for each such account is calculated in accordance with the established procedure.2

During operational day, the Bank of Russia sets intraday and overnight loan caps for each such account based on both the maximum possible limits and the value of the collateral blocked by the credit institution for these purposes. The procedure for calculating these limits is specified in the Conditions.

1 The capital as of the latest date, except credit institutions in respect of which measures are being taken to prevent bankruptcy with the participation of the Bank of Russia or the state corporation “Deposit Insurance Agency”.

2 The limits on intraday and overnight loans may not apply in some cases.
