On issuing of commemorative coin of precious metals

On February 1, 2017 the Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues a commemorative coin of precious metal:

  • A silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles — „Palace and Park Ensemble ‚Neskuchnoe’, Moscow” (catalogue number 5115-0131) of the series „Architectural Monuments of Russia”.

Description of the coin of precious metal:

A silver proof coin in denomination of 25 Roubles (fine metal content 155.5 g, fineness 925/1000, diameter 60.0 mm, mintage 1000 pcs) has the rim raised on both sides of the coin along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.

The obverse side of the coin bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation. There are inscriptions: „РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), „БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin — „25 РУБЛЕЙ” (25 ROUBLES) and the year — „2017”, an indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, purity, trade mark of the Moscow mint and fine precious metal content.

The reverse side of the coin depicts a relief image of the Aleksandrinsky palace of the palace and park ensemble „Neskuchnoe” in Moscow. There are inscriptions: „ДВОРЦОВО-ПАРКОВЫЙ АНСАМБЛЬ” (PALACE AND PARK ENSEMBLE) along the circumference on top, „НЕСКУЧНОЕ” (NESKUCHNOE) under the image of the palace, „МОСКВА” (MOSCOW) along the circumference at the bottom.

The coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation. They are obligatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value.
