Non-governmental pension funds: Q3 performance

Total holdings in non-governmental pension funds (NPFs) in 2018 Q3 increased 0.2% to amount to 3.9 trillion rubles. Pension reserves grew 1.3%, to a total of 1.2 trillion rubles, according to financial statements of NPFs.

The number of participants in voluntary pension schemes was virtually unchanged at 6.2 million people, as was the number of mandatory pension insurance policy holders (37 million people).

Pension savings dropped slightly to 2.6 trillion rubles in part due to mandatory pension insurance payouts on the back of the rise in the number of insured pension recipients.
