Bank of Russia issues new commemorative coins

On 5 September 2018, the Bank of Russia issues a silver proof commemorative coin in denomination of 3 rubles, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the city of Grozny. The reverse side of the coin shows the Heart of Chechnya Mosque with the skyscrapers of the Grozny City and mountains in the background. The mintage of the coin is 2 thousand pcs.

 

 

The Architectural Monuments or Russia series will be complemented with a 25-ruble silver proof coin ‘Mtsyri Country Estate (Spasskoye) (‘Serednikovo’), Moscow Region’. The reverse side of the coin shows the main building of the estate, surrounded by trees. The mintage of the coin is 1 thousand pcs.

 

 

The series 100th Anniversary of the State Museum of Oriental Art will be complemented with two silver proof coins in denomination of 3 and 25 rubles. The reverse sides of the coins show the museum exhibit items. The mintage of the three-ruble coin is 3 thousand pcs, the mintage of the 25-ruble coin is 1 thousand pcs.

 

 

Also, the Bank of Russia issues four commemorative coins dedicated to the 29th Winter Universiade 2019 that will take place in Krasnoyarsk.

The silver coin in denomination of 3 rubles (3,000 pcs).

 

The gold coin in denomination of 50 rubles (1,500 pcs).

 

Two coins of base metal in denomination of 10 rubles. The reverse side of one of the coins shows the logo of the 2019 Winter Universiade, and that of the other coin — U-Laika, the Universiade official mascot. Each design comes in the mintage of 5 million pieces.
