Bank of Russia issues new commemorative coins

On 4 June 2018, the Bank of Russia issues a silver proof commemorative coin in denomination of 3 rubles. The issue is devoted to the 400th anniversary of the foundation of Novokuznetsk. The reverse side of the coin depicts an image of Barnaul gates of the Kuznetsk Fortress in Novokuznetsk against the background of the panoramic view of the Mayakovsky square. The mintage of the coin is 2 thousand pcs.

The series “Architectural Monuments of Russia” issues a silver proof coin in denomination of 3 rubles “Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, Vyritsa Village”. The mintage of the coin is 3 thousand pcs.

Additionally, two commemorative coins of base metals are issued.

The first coin of base metal is in denomination of 10 rubles of the series “Ancient Towns of Russia”; it is devoted to the town of Gorokhovets, Vladimir region. The coin is combined, it consists of two parts: a disc made of white metal and an outer ring made of yellow metal. The reverse side of the coin depicts the emblem of the town and the panoramic view of Gorokhovets. The mintage of the coin is 5 million pcs.

The second coin is in denomination of 25 rubles; it is devoted to the International Army Games. The reverse side of the coin depicts the images of an aircraft, a warship and a tank, and also the emblem of the International Army Games. The mintage of the coin is 500 thousand pcs.
