Fourth All-Russian Congress of Financial Awareness Volunteers to convene on 29 May

The Fourth All-Russian Congress of Financial Awareness Volunteers will convene on 29 May 2018 in Odintsovo, a city in the Moscow Region. The congress was established by the Expert Council for Financial Awareness attached to the Bank of Russia. The congress will take place 29-30 May at the premises of the Bank of Russia’s Corporate University in Odintsovo (21 Molodezhnaya Street).

Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina will deliver the opening speech. The congress will bring together volunteers - representatives of educational, academic and non-governmental organisations - that are actively involved in financial education. They will exchange their experience working on financial literacy improvement projects, discuss the applicable interaction framework and learn more about global best practices.

High on the congress agenda will be new opportunities for volunteer efforts in the field of financial literacy in Russia, given the recent changes to the federal charity law.

The congress is due to be attended by representatives from Russian educational establishments, organisations focused on programmes for institutionalised children, establishments within the social protection system, volunteer associations, professional participants of the financial market, academia, providers of training / educational / information programmes and products; the meeting will also be attended by representatives from the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance, Rospotrebnadzor, constituent territories’ administrations and regional education authorities.

The congress will host a trade fair of successful financial literacy projects.
