Financial education volunteers to meet for their regular congress

The congress will bring together volunteers - representatives of educational, academic and non-governmental organisations - that are actively involved in financial education. They will exchange their experience working on financial literacy improvement projects, discuss the applicable interaction framework and learn more about global best practices.

The coordination of volunteer movement in financial literacy improvement will feature high on the congress agenda, given the recent changes to the federal charity law.

The congress programme also includes an awards ceremony. Special awards will be given to participants who have made considerable contributions to the financial literacy cause, in individual nominations for professional market participants, self-regulatory organisations and non-governmental organisations, volunteers, teachers, BoR regional branches and regional administrations, public officials and journalists.

The congress is due to be attended by representatives from Russian educational establishments, organisations focused on programmes for institutionalised children, establishments within the social protection system, volunteer associations, professional participants of the financial market, academia, providers of training / educational / information programmes and products; the meeting will also be attended by representatives from the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance, Rospotrebnadzor, constituent territories’ administrations and regional education authorities.

The congress will host a trade fair of financial literacy projects.

Admission to all events including the trade fair is free.
