The obverse:
in the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ТРИ РУБЛЯ" (THREE RUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2012 г." (2012), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
The reverse:
in the centre on the mirror field - relief portraits of K. Minin and D. Pozharsky, over them - the flying banner with the image of Christ on it, under the portraits on a oval cartouche - the horizontal inscription in two lines made in stylized cursive: "НАРОДНОЕ ОПОЛЧЕНИЕ" (PEOPLE'S VOLUNTEER CORPS), to the right and to the left of the portraits - two vertical matted segments covered by decorative ornaments, on the lower part of the right segment - the date: "1612".
