Intraday loans — Bank of Russia

Intraday loans — Bank of Russia loans, extended to credit institutions by making payment from its banking account (basic account) over the rest of funds on the given account (clause 850 of the Civil code of the Russian Federation) within the limit of lending set by the Bank of Russia.

The collateral of intraday loans is following:

securities from the section “Blocked by the Bank of Russia” of credit institution’s custodian account, free of credit institution’s applications for raising Bank of Russia loans;

non-marketable assets (promissory notes, credit claims), which are used as collateral against Bank of Russia loans, of credit institution’s applications for raising Bank of Russia loans.
